The Spenner's & I

My Thanksgiving experience was simple yet Amazing although there wasn't any turkey or stuff-a-licious pies. But spending time as a family with the Spenner's was the best Thanksgiving i ever had.

Early November, i was invited to go on a road trip together with the Spenner's and Dilworth's to Massanutten, West Virginia. All i can say, i had an incredible time adoring the most breath taking view of the hilltop from our villa, admiring the crisp, plum leaves on the tree, spending time alone soaking in the real paradise.

My first road trip to North Carolina with the Spenner's family was Amazing. I was blessed to meet Grandpa Ken (my host dad's dad) and Barbra and we stayed in their lovely house.

4 hours road-trip from Nova to North Carolina.

We stopped by at Sonic for lunch, and they had the best bacon burgers & Sonic Tots was the best!

and i started to really enjoying myself so much. Im Stoked!!

Cant believe its already mid August. Things has been going good and all has been taken care of by Jesus.

T-minus 3.5 weeks and im gonna be "on my own" for the whole year. I am so proud of my self making the right decision to step out the years of comfort zone and to pursue my dreams. Thank you Jesus, everything has been so perfectly well and i had to say my Jesus is so Awesome! :)

Been traveling around in Asia. Eating all kinds of foods that im gonna miss when im in USA. Farewells are on the move, one after another. I thank God for great friends showing me all the supports. You guys are definitely missed.

June so far...

It is the 2nd week of June. Everything has been perfected on its way and i am looking forward each day.

Was down with a viral attack and lost my voice entirely for 2 days, and at the same time received a bad news due to my submission of applications. Thank God everything went so smoothly and HE had actually prepared a plan B for me and it turns out so perfect way beyond my expectation :)
International Day at SAL was a great success. So proud to see all the children performed in big crowds without any single tears.
I've officially quitted my job as a preschool teacher on 10th till 2012.
I was offered a job for 1 month straight away after i quitted my job. *blessing*
Preparing and taking a break for a year or 2 to travel around and explore.
I've also been given a 3 weeks break to enjoy till July.
I have listed down some of my To-Do-List to occupy my 3 weeks break.
Looking forward to have a relax time over in Bangkok next week for 5D 4N with the adults.

Everyday has been great and i feel appreciated about it :)

Today we had a mini farewell for my student, Shevon who's going to move back to Singapore for good. She has been with SAL for half a year.

It a great blessing to have her as my student and i'm so happy to see her growing in maturity ever since her first day of school.

She actually surprise me with a note and a small pressie as an appreciation. It was a long note written by her mother Peggy :)

The note says:

" Dearest Sandra,

Thank you for looking after Shevon when she first joined SAL. Your love, care and enfolding has helped her transit from home to embrace school life. Now she is a very secure, happy child who enjoys her moments in preschool. Your experience with her has and will be deeply influenced the future of Shevon. Though we'll be going back to Singapore, we'll remember the moments captured in video and photos and the many pieces of art & craft. They'll be kept in the treasure box and presented to Shevon when she's a grown woman!

Manhattan Fish Market

Renee invited Heidi and i to join her together with the group food blogger's for this special food review session at The Mahanttan Fish Market, e@Curve.

With such great privileges, we tried their newly Menu, the "Rush Hour @ Manhattan
(promotion from 5th July-8th August 2010).

This newly menu"take away- friendly"concept specially introduce to everyone who always has limited time to enjoy their dinner. Diners can choose to pre-order their meals via a phone call or swing by the restaurant to have their conveniently take away food.

Here are the food that we tried..

Heidi and i together with the food that we tried.

All together with have 6 tables, and all 6 tables were given each set of food to tried. Heidi and i were sited at one of the table which just the 2 of us, and both of us have all the sets of food for us to tried! i tell you, it was SO MUCH and we couldn't finish it. So we tapau some of those food back.

Let me introduce the food to you one by one....

1.Citrus Mint RM 6.90

Each of us were given a glass of Citrus Mint to quench our thirst. A crushed ice in refreshing lemon juice with a dash of cool mint. This is the MUST try :) awesome

2. Flakin' Fun in the Garden RM13.90

For those salad lovers, this is a MUST try too. They serve fresh yummy tuna flakes served on a bed of fresh greenish vegetables, and of cause comes with great dressing, the Cajun Honey Mustard & The Caesar Chutney. Both Heidi and i couldn't resist the dressing cause it was darn good and goes well with the salad!

3. Shrimp my Pasta RM16.90
*my favorite dish*

I myself personally love pasta, that is why i'll go for Shrimp my Pasta. It consists of swirls of delicious spaghetti, tossed with succulent sauteed fresh shrimps and sprinkled with chili flakes.

4. Flamin' Tuna Pie
Check out that flame!! haha..

A hearty pie made of chunky tuna bits,packed with sauteed veggies, topped with creamy mozarella and flamed!

5. Wrap N Roll
sounds like rock and roll huh? hahaha

a scrumptious tuna flakes wrapped in tortilla, packed with fresh garden veggies with the famous Manhanttan Flaming Sauce and serve with a side of Chips.

As you can see those 5 dishes above are based on healthy and hearty meal specially cater for diners who wants to enjoy delicious food but with great nutritious meals. :)

After all the un-finish food, we were served 2 desserts. Heidi gone crazy when she saw these 2 desserts....

Tuscan Tiramisu RM9.90

this is not an ordinary tiramisu! this is superb!!
soft and smooth cream cheese, fine coffee powder and the highest quality sponge cake soaked in espresso goodness in between each later of cream cheese.

The Mahanttan Mudpie RM9.90

Heidi said, this tasted like the newly Oreo's blueberry ice-cream flavor!

It was a great dinner and of cause would like to thank those people who made this happen!!

Awesome 9 days winter trip with my colleague,Irma has turned out to be one of my most desire trip this year!

It was also one of the luckiest day last year in October where airasia have their annual free sit promotion and i got it for only RM450 for return air! :)

We was so thrilled and we waited and finally......

We flew last month during June 14.

The flight took us about 8 hours and basically we had nothing to do. So we slept through the journey!

Woke up in the middle of the journey! to my surprised i looked out the view, and i saw this wonderful sunset looks like an aurora.

Finally, 8 hours of long journey! here we are landed at the Tullermarine International Airport,Melbourne. It was 11:45pm in Melb( 9:45pm in Msia) and we decided to put a night at the airport and catch the shutter bus during the dawn.

That night was so cold and it was only 5"c.

thats where we had out night at that steel benches. Man it was freezing!!

Nothing beats my own bed! so i didn't really had a good sleep that night. So i walked around and found a TV and i watched football with other people.

6am had ticked, here we are pushing out our trolley to catch the super shutter airbus to the city.

Took us about 20 mins, and we reached Southern Cross Station, one of the 3 main station located at the city.

It takes us so long on how to go to St Kilda with the Yarra Tram. We basically walked around and asked. We finally found the correct station and hopped onto the tram and dashes to St Kilda where our backpacker lodge is located.

So we reached at The Ritz Backpacker at 7am and we met the receptionist name Chris. He was so nice and allowed us to check in early even though the check in time is12pm.

That's our Room for the entire night. <3>

We reached Queen Victoria Market to grab our lunch, one of the best market located at the town.

Sunset was rather early due to the winter season.

We walked around the city and searching for kiosk to get our mobile card and brought the weekly ticket for our 9 days journey on the Tram.

So we headed back to our place, and went to the nearby mini market to grab some food for our 9 days :)

All items cost less than 20aus.

That was how we spent the whole entire day. :)

This is why we are up early everyday just to grab that FREE fresh pancake with maple sauce and raspberry jam everyday.

So we stopped at

Harbour Town Shopping Center. All branded factory outlet stores.

Cotton on SALES!& its everywhere! i can guarantee you,their SALES is totally different from Malaysia!

So i had my shopping over at cotton on :)

Hopped back to the city circle tram, and we headed back to swanston street and walk around.

When you travel to Mt Dandenong, you cant miss Miss Marples tea room! one of the best place to experience English tea in an English cottage house :)

Last month,my school that i work at has invited the very proudly Malaysian/International well known shoe designer Dato Jimmy Choo.

Children and Parents came for this special event to meet the shoe designer personally were very excited, especially the mummies.

Few weeks ago,I got a message from Evo, where he invited me to attend a movie screening which falls on the Tuesday night. It was a movie screening on the "Nightmare on Elm Street". I was pretty excited about it and i agreed to go.

But later the day, he told me there is another movie screening on the same day but different location. He ask me to choose , so at the end i chose the one...

it talks about a former-cop-turned-bounty hunter,Milo Boyd(Gerard Butler) gets his dream job when he is assigned to track down his bail-jumping ex-wife, reporter Nicole Hurly( Jennifer Aniston) who covers a story of a murder.

Some of the scene were pretty interesting and there were some humors as well where it leads the whole cinema burst out into laughter.

Honestly, this movie didnt gave me an impact which makes me go WOW, but to the matter of fact that this movie was lil boring to me.

Nevertheless, i did enjoyed on those relevant scenes or maybe those not-so-boring scenes. HAHA

Overall i rate this movie 5.5/10

Though it was a weird outing where some of our gangs was not there for the movie, but that didn't brings my mood down where i had great time with Heidi and CheeWei that night. :)

The Bangkok Adventure

It was a 4 days 3 night backpack adventure at Bangkok.

We,ve booked the ticket since last year October where Air Asia promoting their Annual Free Siting ticket, and it was worth it.

Before we head to Bangkok, we meet an car accidents on that week + the riot which happen at Bangkok. With our braveness, we made it to the trip with peace :)

However, this was a short trip and we didnt manage to walk around due to our tiredness, but overall it was a great trip :)

Here are the real story about the 3 injured lady who went to Bangkok.

why 3 injured lady??

because few days ago before our trip, we had a car accident. 2 had big bruises all over body and 1 had a HUGE deep cut on the side of the forehead with 7 stiches.

Irma- with the deep cut on her forehead.

Lee Sun- with bruises all around.

It was "horiday". I was invited to join the "pain-ball" session with Chee Wei's primary schoolmates, together with Renee as well. We had 30 bunch of us in a war zone. Unfortunately i have no pictures taken. Bruises all over arms and poor Renee has a HUGE one on her arm and the rest of the parts. Overall, it was fun & great experience

School celebrated Halloween Party on the Friday few days back.

All children were dressed up in fancy costume, so do the teachers :)

For instants, like myself. I never had a proper self portraits of myself.

Today while i was assigned to shoot the ROM session at Putrajaya, during free time, John plays around with my camera and took few of my portraits randomly. It turns out so AWESOME which i really like it alot...

Back 2 Basic : Simple background Daisy Shots

Hey there.

Im back for more updates. Sorry for not been updating often, has been really busy, and my precious lense is still in the hospital =( hopefully by 2 weeks times it will be done :)

Few days ago, my friend got a pot of Daisy as pressie from one of our school parent during her birthday, and the Daisy caught my attention.

I cant resist it by taking a few picture using her "Panasonic Lumix compact camera".

Gorgeous colour.

I find it bored by capturing pure just like that, so i went to the cupboard and i took a few A4 colour papers and make it as my background.

I manage to try using few colours and it goes like this......

i used a normal black A4 paper as my background.

Then, i try using more vibrant colours....

I tried using Red. Looks Vibrant.

I tried using Green, looks refreshing.

At last, i tried using blue. It turn out so soothing.

My favourite piece.

Very simple ways. You can even tried it at home and everywhere..... with a correct light.

The best 5 days trip ever. It was an ALL PAID EXPENSES trip. Meet alot of new friends, enjoying every moment of it :)

This is my 2nd trip to 上海 (Shanghai) .

I never knew that i will be visiting Shanghai again this time! According to my itinerary, this trip will

I visited my aunt during my last trip to Shanghai. This time i will be there to covershoot an

event + holiday as well :)

Last Friday, i was assign to covershoot one of my good friend, Kim. A blogger herself who just recently got married with our re-own Malaysian Cyclist, Josiah Ng.

I got to know Kim when i first met her in person at RAOUL fashion show, we,ve been good friends since then for the past 2 years. Our frienship has been a good one :)

Malacca Trip

It was my off day last 2 weeks, whereby my workplace has summer break. So, i,ve decided to spend my 2 days together with my parent, we drove down to south.

Malacca.

Our trip this time to Malacca was one of the memoriable one,* as what my dad says*. It is because, Uncle Mike was back to Malacca and we were so blessed to have him bringing us around places which we didnt even know it was exsist! :)

Of cause, we went for the foooooooooooooods, jonker street as usual.

We went to have a 45 mins ride at the Malacca River Cruise to watch night lights....

After our 45 mins ride.... we drove all the way to night Jonker Street for a walk, and we headed to our usual place, The Geographer Cafe, for our Happy Hour.

Kim's Hen's Night

Last Saturday, I was invited to attend Kim's Hen's Night. It was held at Delicious Dua Residency KL.

There were about more then 20 girls attended this party, and we were asked to dress in dark blue colour dress as the colour theme, and each girl were given a glittered cute hairband to wear on.

Kim's Hen's Night

YAYHHHH!!! Im having 2 weeks break.

But............. i still cant find time for myself to relax.

Nevertheless. It was a wonderful yet memoriable week that i,ve spend! I spend my time with my love ones.

I went to the Historical City aka Malacca with my Mom & Dad to celebrate early Father's Day trip. It was a short 2 days 1 night trip, and we managed to hang out with Uncle Mike & Aunt Irene.

It was Kim's Hen's night on Saturday! It was a wonderful time of dinner with few other hawwtt girls :)

I know is weird, because i am a Fully Nikon User , well......

It was pretty a random day after picking up a call from Kim,asking me whether would i love to join her together to attend the Canon 50th SLR Anniversary Event held at Ritz Carlton, she even told me that Simon Yam Tat-Wah (Canon Ambassador) will be there as well.

Without hessistation and much deciding, i say YES!

This event was specially for the Media Appreciation too.

Medias from all different Press company attended in this event with great heap, everyone get to mingle around take photos, and catching up.
